Carrowmore has been organising specialist language and equestrian courses to Ireland for teenagers for 20 years. It is approved by the Irish Government Department of Education with a personal and professional service and promise an educational and enjoyable holiday for our guests.

2 miles from Sligo city (pop.25,000), on the Atlantic coast of Ireland sits Carrowmore, site of one of the oldest collections of Megalithic tombs and burial chambers, some dating to 3500 B.C. This area is said to be the first site settled by man in Ireland. This beautiful corner of Ireland is not only home to prehistoric tombs but also to Ireland’s foremost Equestrian and English language centre.
The excellent facilities, sympathetic instructors, safe and well trained horses, friendly staff, and a diverse riding terrain. From the endless Atlantic beaches for galloping to the mountains and pine forests for gentle hacking, this truly is the horseman’s paradise.

Accomodation-Host Family

Living in a family you will quickly get to know the inhabitants of a country well known for their friendliness. The combination of English language learning, Equitation, evening activities and cultural excursions will surely be a holiday that a teenager will never forget. Living in a foreign family, young people learn about the daily life and cultures of the Irish people and are able to discuss their different with their host family. All the host families are specially chosen by the Centre for their friendliness and the comfort of their home, thereby guaranteeing an enjoyable experience for all.

On Site Accommodation

We can accommodate 15 students on site which is fully supervised and all the bedrooms are en-suit. We recommend this accommodation for young students, or those who prefer to stay with a group of students.
