Situated 3km from the busy country town of Mallow and 22km from Cork International Airport. 30km from Cork City which is Ireland's second city. Students combine English lessons with Equestrian activities in a family environment.

English lessons & Equestrian activities

Mallow is very accustomed to looking after the young people who arrive each year. Our Instructors have a hands on approach to the horse-riding element of the stay. The BHS instructors train many Irish children to successful careers in all disciplines of horse riding. Mallow always provides a mother-like approach to any problems the young guests may have in the Language learning element of the holiday.
At Mallow we aim to send our students home with vastly improved English and acquired horse-riding skills whilst having fun on horseback and with friends from all over Europe, all learned in a family atmosphere.

PROGRAM/ITINERARY:

• Students rise at about 9:00 and have breakfast.
• At 10am students attend their morning activity, either horses riding or English lessons. This lasts for 3 hours, until 13:00, lunch-time.
• Lunch-time gives the students an hour and a half free.
• 2:30pm Afternoon activity for 3 hours. either horses riding or English Lessons
• The day finishes at 17:30, which gives the students time to shower, change clothes, do English homework, and relax after a good days work.
• Dinner, the main meal of the day, is served at about 8pm,
• After dinner, the students can play tennis or table tennis, go for walks, or, should the weather not permit outdoor activity, play cards or watch a video under supervision.
• Swimming is available in the indoor pool in Mallow and the weekends involve an excursion and/or McDonalds, maybe a trip to the local cinema, a local event, horse-racing etc.
